Oops Wrong Mask
Last year two of my girlfriends and I were all invited to a Mardi Gras masquerade so of course we went out and got out Mardi Gras mask for the occasion. We pulled all the stops, getting really fancy masks with a lot of plumage and glitz. They were each very distinctive masks and we felt like little divas getting ready.
All three of us had boyfriends at the time but most had not been that long term yet. The guys were coming to the party too and we were going to all show up as a posse and go in together. I had this clever idea and while we got ready I said to the girls, once we get to the party let’s switch our masks and see if the guys can tell the difference! We probably should have just left is as a joke but we all though it was so hilarious we had to try it.
When we got to the party we slipped away to powder our noses and then switched masks. Then we went back out and started dancing. I was the first one to get in trouble. My friend Tina’s boyfriend came up to me thinking I was her. I was going to mess with him but before I knew it he kissed me! I looked over at Tina who looked so angry she went over and started kissing Steph’s boyfriend! This left Stephanie no choice of course but to settle for my man.
At this point I figured I had started it all so why be mad at her, all was forgiven right? I don’t know if they boys were just dumb or if they played along for their own satisfaction but it was a few hours before they “figured it out”!
