The city was first established by the Greeks and then went through the glory days of the Athenians and Romans. While the tourists flock to the city in search of superficial delights, the archeologists and historians prefer discovering the city for its rich treasury of historical facts.

The city was a hub for the artists well before the renaissance swept the whole of Eurasia. In fact, the Western World had many wonderful artists like Chagall and Arman that used the city’s beauty to come up with their own masterpieces. The best part, however, is that most of these treasured pieces of art have been preserved over several centuries and can be viewed at prominent galleries and museums across Nice, like the Museum of Natural History. Most of these places are far more enjoyable than spending an entire day at the shopping complexes in the upscale districts.

It does not really matter where your interest lays – in the ancient offerings or modern amenities, Nice is ready to welcome you so long as your arms remained opened as well. Like most other modern cities, the hotel and car rental in Nice are quite expensive. But then, most people visiting it are willing to splurge while they are there as get to see and experience a constant feast for all their senses. And for most visitors, this comes as a welcome relief from their hectic day-to-day life.
